Nord Stream 2 sanctions waivers could aid Russia-U.S. ties, Moscow says | SOURCE: REUTERS

Russian officials said Moscow’s fraught ties with Washington could benefit from the waiving of U.S. sanctions on the company in charge of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, after a report said the Biden administration was set to lift them. “If the media leaks turn out to be true there will probably be a chance for a gradual transition toward the normalisation of bilateral ties.”

The European Parliament will vote to halt any discussion of the EU’s investment deal with China until Beijing lifts the sanctions it imposed on European individuals and entities in March. The text shows the rejection of the Comprehensive Agreement on Investment (CAI) as part of a broad package of resolutions aimed at hitting back at China on human rights and political issues.

Russia Accuses EU of Stopping Access to Sputnik Vaccine | SOURCE: NOVINITE

The European Union is blocking Russia-made vaccines against Covid-19, the head of Russia’s external intelligence service said.
