  • Myanmar’s military has detained the country’s president and declared one year-state of emergency. The army alleges the recent landslide election win by Ms Suu Kyi’s party was marred by fraud. She urged supporters to “protest against the coup”. The U.S. has threatened to take action against those responsible for the detention.
